MEATBALL BONANZA

BEETNIK FOODS has introduced certified organic grass-fed beef meatballs. The meatballs are gluten-free, made from high-quality organic ingredients and created using sustainable and ethical farming practices. They are available from retailers that carry natural and organic products. KAMUT INTERNATIONAL has revamped its Kracklin’ KAMUT® snack made of the ancient grain KAMUT® brand Khorasan wheat, organic cold-pressed hi-oleic safflower oil, and sea salt. Contents in each bag adds up to 190 calories, 6 grams of fat, no sugar, and boasts 5 grams of protein. ORGANIC ULTRAGRAIN®

ARDENT MILLS has added Organic Ultragrain® whole wheat flour to its organic product line. Offerings include both hard and soft varieties (www.ardentmills.com). 


CHICKEN DOGS

PERDUE FARMS INC. has rolled out a new organic chicken hot dog under its Coleman Organics brand. In June, Perdue said in its 2016 Company Stewardship Report that it was expanding its organic offerings by contracting with Maryland and Delaware farmers to grow certified organic chicken (www.perduefarms.com). 


WHOLE MILK KEFIRS

SPRINGFIELD CREAMERY has rolled out four new organic whole milk kefirs to its line of Nancy’s Cultured Dairy products. The products are made with local organic milk from pasture-raised cows on Oregon farms. All flavors are lightly sweetened with organic nectar, and contain 11 strains of live probiotics. OATMEAL CUPS

BOB’S RED MILL has expanded its popular line of Oatmeal Cups to include organic options in four unique flavors. The cups are a healthy grab-and-go solution for cafés, college campuses, cafeterias, convenience stores and grocery retailers nationwide. VEGGIE PROTEIN

PACIFIC FOODS has introduced three savory varieties of organic crème fraiche soups—tomato, roasted red pepper and butternut squash—that are a vegetarian source of protein, providing 10 grams of protein per serving. FROZEN APPETIZERS

LUNDBERG FAMILY FARMS has launched its new Organic Grainspirations Arancini frozen appetizers in retailers nationwide. The certified organic gourmet rice bites are made with whole grain rice cooked risotto-style, then rolled into balls and covered with gluten-free brown rice breadcrumbs, and lightly fried. HARD-BOILED SNACKS

ORGANIC VALLEY has added organic ready-to-eat hardboiled eggs to its Good to Go snack line. The peeled eggs come from free-range hens that have access to pasture and are fed a certified organic diet.
